Tetsujin 2019

You know it's always tough for a local hobby shop to have a big scale event. Be it logistics, capital or manpower, everything is a challenge. So for Hobby Art Gallery to go it three years in a row. I have to take my hats off them. The dedication and hard work of Team HAG is commendable. It also adds excitement to the otherwise bland environment here.

So I am pleased to announced that Tetsujin Singapore 2019 is a go! More details will be announced soon. Do join their event page for further updates.

For now, here are the various categories for next year:-

The Out-of-Box category.

Well this category was originally meant for newbies or intermediates to test their basic skills and creative in a controlled environment. "Controlled" as in there are still some parameters to follow and contestants will work within those parameters but still exhibit creativity. It's a test no less!

The Open category.

Here, anything goes. Except third party products LOL. The sky is the limit. Participants can do whatever they want. There are still rules of course. But it's more open here. Just have to watch your basics which forms the backbone of all your works.

The Special category.

Since 2019 will be Gundam's 40th Anniversary, it seems befitting to devote a whole category to celebrate it! Similar to the Open category, the only difference is that the base kit has to be an original Bandai RX-78 kit. Other than that, anything goes!

Rules and Regulations

To join the competition, you can sign up here (QR code). A registration fee of SGD25.00 is applicable and non-refundable. Payment has to be made within a month from registration.
